Tokyo Ink Co., Ltd. (4635) raised its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥3.3 billion from ¥2.65 billion and increased its annual dividend forecast to ¥115 per share from ¥95.
For the April-September first half, net sales rose 10.1% to ¥26.80 billion, operating profit jumped 60.6% to ¥1.76 billion and net profit attributable to owners of the parent doubled (+100.0%) to ¥1.57 billion, above the company's Aug. 5 forecast of ¥1.40 billion.
The company said higher raw material purchase prices weighed on cost of sales less than it had assumed, while efforts to secure appropriate selling prices and a greater share of high value-added products lifted profitability. Some demand expected in the second half was pulled forward.
