IDEC said the global economic outlook remains uncertain amid higher energy prices tied to tensions in the Middle East and concerns over supply chains, while capital spending demand centered on AI and digital fields is expanding. Demand related to semiconductors, robots and machine tools held firm across all regions, led by Japan and China, pushing sales above its initial assumptions, and higher revenue lifted profits beyond plan.

By destination, domestic sales are now forecast at ¥30.1 billion, up 18.5%, and overseas sales at ¥54.9 billion, up 9.6%. By business, the HMI forecast was raised 16.5% to ¥41.0 billion, safety and explosion protection 13.4% to ¥15.2 billion, industrial components 13.1% to ¥14.7 billion, and automation and sensing 2.3% to ¥9.0 billion. The systems business forecast was left at ¥5.1 billion.

The company kept its dividend forecast unchanged at ¥65 per share each for the interim and year-end payouts, for an annual total of ¥130.
