The company said it opened five new physical stores in the first half, bringing the total to 18, and that new products launched through its OMO strategy linking its own e-commerce site and stores drove record sales for both the second quarter and the first half. Gross margin exceeded initial assumptions, helped by the use of forward exchange contracts to control the cost ratio.

The year-end dividend was raised by ¥2 to ¥20 per share, compared with ¥17 for the previous fiscal year. The company's policy is to pay the higher of a 20% payout ratio or 2.0% DOE. The buyback cap equals 0.94% of shares outstanding excluding treasury stock, with purchases to be made on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Separately, Vega signed an agreement to transfer its cross-border e-commerce platform DOKODEMO to Starnet Co., Ltd., replacing the originally planned buyer, Starnet's parent Lead Healthcare Co., Ltd. The business posted sales of ¥340 million, or 1.9% of the company total, and an operating loss of ¥5 million in the year ended March 2026. The price was not disclosed at the buyer's request, and Vega said the impact on earnings would be minor.

Next steps: share purchases run from Nov. 2 to Dec. 18, 2026; the DOKODEMO transfer is scheduled for Dec. 1, 2026.
