NGK raised its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥100.0 billion from ¥82.0 billion and lifted its annual dividend forecast to ¥126 per share from ¥106, after first-half results beat its own guidance.

Annual dividend forecast¥126
First-half net profit¥60.8 billion
First-half operating profit¥69.889 billion

For the April-September half, revenue rose 13.8% year on year to ¥371.3 billion, operating profit climbed 43.5% to ¥69.9 billion and net profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 154.7% to ¥60.8 billion. All exceeded the company's April 30 forecasts, which had called for revenue of ¥350.0 billion and net profit of ¥45.0 billion. Net profit was also lifted by higher gains on sales of investment securities and lower tax expenses tied to an April 1 reorganization of the electronic device business and the completed liquidation of an overseas subsidiary.
