The company said first-half consulting sales were solid on pricing adjustments and higher added value, while orders in its DX and regional co-creation business also exceeded plan. Under its new medium-term management plan, CRAFT2030, announced the same day, Signpost will focus on those two businesses and scale back its innovation business. The impact of that downsizing is still being assessed and is not reflected in the forecasts.

For the first half, sales rose 30.2% to ¥1.892 billion. Signpost has not paid a dividend since the year-end payout for the fiscal year ended February 2020. It will add a ¥1 ordinary dividend to the ¥5 commemorative dividend for its 20th anniversary announced on July 10, and targets a 30% payout ratio from the fiscal year ending February 2028.

The ¥6 year-end dividend will be put to shareholders at the 20th annual general meeting scheduled for May 2027.
