The company cited steady performance in its telecom carrier business and strong progress on large data center construction in its social systems business. Operating and ordinary profit are expected to benefit from higher sales and improved margins. The net profit forecast also includes an extraordinary gain from partial sales of investment securities aimed at improving capital efficiency and reducing strategic shareholdings. Net profit for the year ended March 2026 was ¥36.307 billion.
The buyback ceiling was raised from 2.75 million shares (2.38% of shares outstanding excluding treasury stock) and ¥11.0 billion to 3.25 million shares (2.84%) and ¥13.0 billion, via market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The company held 3,707,456 treasury shares as of Sept. 30, 2026.
Under the share exchange, holders of unlisted Ainet will receive 0.43 COMSYS share per Ainet share, for a planned total of 404,200 shares, all drawn from treasury stock. Ainet, based in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, performs electrical and telecom equipment work and has 90 employees. COMSYS said the deal will strengthen the regional base of its wholly owned subsidiary TOSYS in the Koshinetsu area.
Next steps: Ainet plans to seek approval at its annual shareholders' meeting on Nov. 20, 2026, with the exchange scheduled to take effect on Jan. 4, 2027. The buyback period runs through March 31, 2027.
