OPRO Co., Ltd. (228A) on Oct. 13 raised its net profit forecast for the year ending November 2026 to ¥343 million from ¥304 million while cutting its sales forecast to ¥2.934 billion, citing lower personnel and hiring costs.

Revised FY net profit¥343 million (from ¥304 million)
Revised FY sales¥2.934 billion (from ¥3.226 billion)
Buyback cap40,000 shares / ¥87 million
Buyback periodOct. 14, 2026-Jan. 29, 2027

The Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth-listed cloud services provider revised the full-year forecast it issued on Jan. 13, 2026, for the fiscal year from Dec. 1, 2025, to Nov. 30, 2026.

ItemPreviousRevisedChange
Sales¥3.226 billion¥2.934 billion-9.1%
Operating profit¥418 million¥469 million+12.1%
Ordinary profit¥431 million¥486 million+12.8%
Net profit¥304 million¥343 million+12.9%

The company said failed public-sector tenders and longer-than-expected customer decision-making on enterprise deals left orders below initial assumptions, with related professional services orders also falling short. Gross profit will decline along with sales, but OPRO said productivity gains from the use of AI allowed it to shift to selective hiring, putting personnel costs, including labor costs, and recruiting and training expenses about ¥188 million below plan. Other costs are also expected to come in under plan.

For the nine months through Aug. 31, sales rose 15.5% from a year earlier to ¥2.15 billion, operating profit rose 32.8% to ¥366 million and net profit rose 46.8% to ¥260 million. The company kept its forecast of no dividend for the year.

OPRO's board also approved buying back up to 40,000 shares, or 1.73% of shares outstanding excluding treasury stock, for up to ¥87 million through market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The company said the shares could be used for stock compensation and flexible capital policy, and that it believes its current share price does not fully reflect its performance, growth prospects and financial position.

The buyback period runs from Oct. 14, 2026, to Jan. 29, 2027.
