ABC-Mart Inc. (2670) on Oct. 7, 2026 raised its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 to ¥47.7 billion from ¥46.4 billion, a 2.8% increase.

Revised FY net profit¥47.7 billion
Revised FY operating profit¥67.2 billion
First-half net sales¥202.3 billion
Annual dividend forecast¥80 per share

The footwear retailer also lifted its full-year sales and operating profit forecasts, and now projects earnings per share of ¥192.64, compared with ¥187.39 previously.

ItemPreviousRevisedChange
Net sales¥400.8 billion¥403.0 billion+0.5%
Operating profit¥65.6 billion¥67.2 billion+2.4%
Ordinary profit¥67.4 billion¥69.8 billion+3.6%
Net profit¥46.4 billion¥47.7 billion+2.8%

The company said the revision only reflects first-half results that exceeded its initial plan. It left its second-half outlook unchanged, citing the risk of weaker consumer sentiment amid rising prices and the impact of Japan's tax-free shopping system switching to a refund method from November.

In the first half ended Aug. 31, net sales rose 6.4% to ¥202.3 billion, operating profit climbed 7.4% to ¥36.1 billion and net profit increased 6.6% to ¥25.9 billion. Domestic sales grew 4.8%, with same-store sales up 4.5% as the weak yen boosted inbound demand. Sales in South Korea rose 11.3% to ¥37.5 billion.

The group opened 23 stores during the period, and its South Korean unit ABC-MART KOREA took over 16 "FOLDER" shoe stores from E-Land World in June, bringing the total to 1,522 stores. Overseas stores numbered 408 as of June 30, including 63 in Taiwan.

ABC-Mart set an interim dividend of ¥40 per share, up from ¥35 a year earlier, and kept its annual dividend forecast at ¥80.

The company plans to file its semiannual report on Oct. 8, 2026, and to begin paying the interim dividend on Nov. 9, 2026.
