Kintetsu Hyakkaten (8244) on Oct. 9 raised its consolidated operating profit forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 to ¥6.2 billion from ¥5.6 billion and lifted its planned year-end dividend to ¥25 per share from ¥20.

FY operating profit forecast¥6.2 billion (from ¥5.6 billion)
FY net profit forecast¥4.0 billion (from ¥3.9 billion)
Year-end dividend¥25 per share (from ¥20)
H1 net profit¥2.22 billion

For the first half from March 1 to Aug. 31, 2026, consolidated sales fell 8.3% from a year earlier to ¥57.362 billion. Operating profit rose 15.0% to ¥3.014 billion, while net profit attributable to owners of the parent fell 38.0% to ¥2.22 billion, 30.6% above the company's July 10 forecast of ¥1.7 billion.

The company cited strong domestic and duty-free sales in its department store business, and lower-than-expected losses on retirement of fixed assets related to renovations, booked as extraordinary losses.

The full-year revision reflects first-half results and a smaller-than-forecast rise in second-half costs such as utilities stemming from the situation in the Middle East.

The ¥5 increase brings the annual dividend to ¥25, compared with ¥20 for the previous fiscal year. The company said it aims to pay dividends in line with earnings while maintaining financial soundness.
