The company said existing-store sales have been running below year-earlier levels, and new store openings are behind plan because securing properties on suitable terms has taken longer than expected. Recruitment-related and personnel costs from stepped-up hiring are pushing selling, general and administrative expenses above the original forecast, which was announced on April 14, 2026.

Non-consolidated results for the six months ended Aug. 31, released the same day, showed revenue up 0.2% at ¥3,327 million. The company posted an operating loss of ¥53 million, compared with a ¥57 million profit a year earlier, an ordinary loss of ¥77 million, and a net loss of ¥122 million versus an ¥8 million profit. Loss per share was ¥27.11.

Total assets stood at ¥3,547 million and net assets at ¥305 million at the end of the period, with the equity ratio falling to 7.7% from 12.7% at the end of the previous fiscal year. The company paid no first-half dividend on common shares and has left its full-year dividend forecast undecided. It paid a second-quarter dividend of ¥200,000 per share, or ¥100 million in total, on its unlisted Class A preferred shares, funded from capital surplus.
