Futaba Sangyo Co., Ltd. (7241) on Oct. 28 lowered its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 by 14.3% to ¥12.0 billion from ¥14.0 billion, while raising its sales forecast to ¥713.0 billion from ¥690.0 billion.

Revised FY sales forecast¥713.0 billion (from ¥690.0 billion)

The auto parts maker said higher material base prices and prices of supplied parts lifted its sales outlook, while profit at each level was revised down to reflect weaker vehicle production by customers in its China segment and the impact of downsizing a production base in the U.K. The previous forecast was announced on July 30, 2026.

Compared with actual results for the year ended March 2026, the revised forecast represents a 5.2% rise in sales, with operating profit down 3.8%, ordinary profit down 18.4% and net profit down 25.1%.

For the April-September first half, net sales rose 6.7% to ¥351.6 billion on higher unit prices of supplied parts and currency effects. Operating profit fell 8.6% to ¥7.87 billion, ordinary profit dropped 20.6% to ¥6.97 billion and net profit attributable to owners of the parent declined 28.8% to ¥4.55 billion. The company said lower sales and profit in the China segment outweighed streamlining and price pass-through.

The company plans to file its semiannual securities report on Nov. 9, 2026, and to begin paying the interim dividend on Nov. 26, 2026.
