Lihit Lab (7975) on Oct. 1 cut its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 by 60.0% to ¥80 million from ¥200 million, while keeping its sales forecast unchanged at ¥9.35 billion.

FY net profit forecast¥80 million (prev. ¥200 million)
FY operating profit forecast¥80 million (prev. ¥230 million)
H1 operating profit forecast¥23 million (prev. ¥150 million)
FY sales forecast¥9.35 billion (unchanged)

The revised full-year projections, compared with the forecasts announced on April 3, 2026:

Full yearPreviousRevised
Operating profit¥230 million¥80 million
Ordinary profit¥250 million¥120 million
Net profit¥200 million¥80 million
EPS¥58.95¥23.58

For the first half (March 1-Aug. 31, 2026), the company raised its sales forecast 1.0% to ¥4.846 billion from ¥4.8 billion but cut operating profit 84.7% to ¥23 million from ¥150 million. Ordinary profit was revised to ¥63 million from ¥170 million, and net profit to ¥35 million from ¥120 million, a 70.8% reduction.

The company said first-half sales were tracking slightly above plan, helped by aggressive new product launches and higher sales in its domestic sales and mass retail divisions. Despite cost-cutting efforts, production costs rose more than expected as raw material prices stayed high amid the prolonged situation in the Middle East and the yen weakened.

Full-year sales are progressing broadly as planned, so the initial figure was kept. The company aims to improve margins in the second half through product price revisions and cost reductions, but expects profits will not recover to the original forecast levels because of the first-half revision. For the fiscal year ended February 2026, it reported operating profit of ¥36 million and net profit of ¥67 million.
