Seikagaku Corporation (4548) cut its forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, now projecting a consolidated net loss of ¥1.8 billion versus a previously forecast profit of ¥2.25 billion, and lowered its annual dividend forecast to ¥20 from ¥30.

Seikagaku said on Sept. 24 that royalty revenue is expected to decline sharply. It now sees net sales for the fiscal year (April 1, 2026-March 31, 2027) at ¥37.1 billion, down 11.4% from its May 13, 2026, forecast of ¥41.85 billion.

The company also issued a non-consolidated forecast for the first time, saying the gap between its expected results and the previous year's actual figures met timely-disclosure thresholds. It expects parent-only sales of ¥22.0 billion, down 6.8%, an operating loss of ¥3.6 billion, an ordinary loss of ¥900 million and a net loss of ¥2.45 billion, compared with net profit of ¥737 million a year earlier.

Seikagaku lowered its second-quarter-end and year-end dividend forecasts to ¥10 each from ¥15, bringing the annual payout to ¥20 from ¥30, citing the earnings forecast revision. It paid an annual dividend of ¥30 for the year ended March 2026.
