In its gear equipment business, sales to nuclear power plants in Japan and overseas, as well as sales of maintenance parts for overseas oil and gas plants, have been strong, the company said. Profit was supported by large nuclear power plant projects and higher maintenance parts sales.
For the full fiscal year ending March 2027, the company kept its previous forecast unchanged. It said first-half results had exceeded initial expectations, but the progress of projects from the third quarter onward, the order environment and the timing of revenue recognition remain uncertain. It will disclose promptly if a revision becomes necessary.
