Subsidiary KIKAN flex delayed the release of the software it is developing, and the atB group struggled to secure paid job listings on its job media in Bangladesh. As a result, sales in the new investment business segment are expected to come in ¥106 million below the initial ¥110 million forecast. In the Porters segment, the delay led to lost Porters implementations and deliveries pushed into the next fiscal year, leaving new customer IDs short of plan and segment sales ¥62 million below the initial ¥2,358 million. The delay reduced cost of sales such as depreciation, but lower sales pushed operating and ordinary profit below the previous forecast.

After reviewing the recoverability of software assets KIKAN flex recorded through development investment, Porters expects to book a ¥304 million impairment loss in the third quarter.

The board also resolved on Sept. 30 to acquire an additional 21,000 shares of KIKAN flex, lifting its holding from 39,000 shares (65.0% of voting rights) to 60,000 shares and making it a wholly owned subsidiary. KIKAN flex, which develops a core system for staffing companies, carried out a third-party share allotment to Persol Tempstaff in October 2025; that company holds 35.0%. The acquisition price was not disclosed under agreement with the seller. Porters expects the impact on consolidated results to be minor.

Next steps: The KIKAN flex share acquisition is scheduled for Oct. 1, 2026.
