The company said its new skincare line Milcuremie, relaunched in April, was broadly on plan, but unseasonable weather hurt demand for summer-only products, its summer sale drew fewer customers, a major campaign was rescheduled and unprofitable stores were closed. On the cost side, it cited unplanned system-related expenses and upfront costs tied to a rebranding.

The interim dividend was cut to ¥10.00 per share from a planned ¥12.50, and the year-end dividend forecast was also lowered to ¥10.00 from ¥12.50. The company cited its first-half net loss and the optimization of capital allocation for growth. It paid ¥25.00 for the previous fiscal year.

For the April-September half, sales fell 2.7% to ¥5.5 billion. The operating loss widened to ¥234 million from ¥116 million a year earlier, and the net loss grew to ¥198 million from ¥98 million. Sales at its core directly operated store merchandise business fell 4.9% to ¥4.178 billion, with the segment's operating loss widening to ¥267 million from ¥181 million.

The interim dividend is scheduled to be paid from Dec. 7, 2026, and the semi-annual securities report is due to be filed on Nov. 12, 2026.
