The company said sales and profits for the first nine months ran ahead of its full-year plan as it pursued strict profit management and price corrections, including a review of its product portfolio, under its medium-term plan's goal of establishing a high-profit structure. Raw material prices continue to rise amid instability in the Middle East, and the company has passed the increases on to selling prices. It expects these conditions to continue.

For the nine months to Aug. 31, net sales rose 14.9% to ¥4.942 billion. Operating profit was ¥541 million, compared with an operating loss of ¥9 million a year earlier, while net profit attributable to owners of the parent came to ¥438 million against ¥18 million. The equity ratio stood at 42.2% at the end of August, up from 38.4% at the previous fiscal year-end.

The year-end dividend forecast was raised by ¥105 to ¥150, compared with ¥44 for the previous year, which included a ¥4 commemorative dividend. The medium-term plan, covering the fiscal years ending November 2025 through November 2027, calls for gradually raising the payout ratio and targets 30% once the equity ratio reaches 40% or more.
