Tecmira Holdings Inc. (3627) on Oct. 8 raised its consolidated first-half forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027, now projecting ordinary profit of ¥32 million versus a previously forecast loss of ¥100 million, on revenue of ¥5,297 million.

H1 revenue forecast¥5,297 million (prev. ¥5,000 million)
H1 ordinary profit forecast¥32 million (prev. ¥100 million loss)
H1 net loss attributable to owners of parent¥55 million (prev. ¥70 million)

The revision covers the six months from March 1 to Aug. 31, 2026, and replaces the forecast published on April 10, 2026. Revenue is now expected to exceed the prior forecast of ¥5,000 million by ¥297 million, or 5.9%. The net loss attributable to owners of the parent is projected at ¥55 million, narrower than the ¥70 million previously forecast, with loss per share of ¥4.61 versus ¥5.93.

The company said its IoT & Devices segment, for which it had set conservative assumptions given yuan strength and rising prices for components such as semiconductor memory, performed more firmly than expected, lifting revenue by about ¥300 million above the previous forecast.

Ordinary profit is expected to beat the prior forecast by ¥132 million as the IoT & Devices segment outperformed on cost reductions, among other factors, while in the Life Design segment strong results in the game business offset a shortfall against plan in the HealthTech business.

The improvement in the net loss was limited to ¥15 million because tax expenses are expected to exceed the previous forecast.

Tecmira left its full-year consolidated forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 unchanged, citing many uncertainties in the business environment, and said it would promptly disclose any revision it deems necessary.
