Daitobo lifts first-half net profit forecast to ¥85 million on early dividend

Daitobo Co., Ltd. (3202) on Sept. 29, 2026 raised its consolidated net profit forecast for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥85 million from ¥30 million, after an ¥80 million dividend from an investee arrived earlier than planned.

H1 net profit forecast¥85 million (from ¥30 million)
Dividend received¥80 million
H1 ordinary profit forecast¥115 million (from ¥50 million)
H1 net sales forecast¥2.0 billion (from ¥2.2 billion)

Daitobo, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market and the Nagoya Stock Exchange Premier Market, said it received the ¥80 million dividend on Sept. 28 from a company in which it holds shares, paid out of surplus based on the investee's extraordinary financial closing. Booked as non-operating income, the dividend adds ¥80 million to ordinary profit and about ¥57 million to net profit attributable to owners of the parent, exceeding 30% of each of those figures for the fiscal year ended March 2026.

Revised first-half forecast (April 1-Sept. 30, 2026), in millions of yen:

The previous forecast was released on May 8. Daitobo said part of the dividend had been built into its full-year forecast as second-half income, but the investee's extraordinary closing brought it forward into the first half, prompting the revision to ordinary and net profit. The company also lowered its sales and operating profit forecasts, citing recent business trends, without giving further detail.

The full-year consolidated forecast was left unchanged, as part of the dividend was already included and first-half figures have not been finalized. The company said it will disclose any revision promptly, and will announce again if first-half results differ materially from the new forecast.
