Japanese logistics company Keihin Co., Ltd. (9312) on Nov. 5 lowered its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥3.0 billion from ¥3.4 billion and cut its sales outlook to ¥46.5 billion from ¥51.0 billion, while announcing a buyback of up to 200,000 shares at ¥2,911 each.
Keihin said its domestic logistics business performed broadly in line with plans, but international logistics volumes fell due to a global shortage of car carrier capacity. The company attributed the shortage to a surge in new-car exports from China, port congestion worldwide, slower sailing speeds under environmental regulations and routine detours caused by the Middle East conflict. It expects international logistics to stay weak in the second half.

Net profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 39.4% to ¥1.90 billion, helped by an extraordinary gain including property relocation compensation. First-half results fell short of the forecast issued on May 12. International logistics sales slid 21.4% to ¥8.99 billion.
The company kept its year-end dividend forecast at ¥140 per share, comprising an ordinary dividend of ¥110 and a special dividend of ¥30, versus ¥100 a year earlier.
The buyback, priced at the Nov. 5 closing price, covers up to 3.06% of shares outstanding excluding treasury stock, with a cap of ¥582.2 million. Keihin said the purchase aims to enhance shareholder returns and improve capital efficiency.
The company will place the order on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's ToSTNeT-3 system at 8:45 a.m. on Nov. 6, 2026, and announce the results after that trading session ends. It plans to file its semiannual report on Nov. 9.
