The company cited soaring resource and energy prices amid instability in the Middle East, as well as supply constraints in the supply chain. It said it has sought to curb rising procurement costs through global purchasing and has revised selling prices, which customers have accepted to a certain degree, limiting the margin decline it had initially assumed. Concerns remain over supply constraints for raw materials and OEM products and longer lead times. The revision reflects results through the second quarter and the company's outlook.

The interim dividend remains zero, bringing the annual dividend to ¥28, compared with ¥35 for the fiscal year ended March 2026. Over the medium term, the company targets a dividend payout ratio of 35% and a total shareholder return ratio of 40% including share buybacks.
