Digitalift Inc. (9244) cut its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ended September 2026 by 49.8% to ¥55 million and lowered its net sales forecast by 26.2% to ¥3.191 billion, citing weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter orders.

The Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth-listed company announced the revision on Oct. 23, 2026, replacing the forecast it published on Nov. 14, 2025. Operating profit is now projected at ¥121 million, down 42.0%, and ordinary profit at ¥112 million, down 42.7%. All revised figures are below actual results for the fiscal year ended September 2025.

The company said seasonal large-scale orders it had expected in the fourth quarter fell short, while existing clients scaled back transactions and additional orders, and new business wins missed targets. Rebuilding its sales process and upgrading proposal activities have taken longer than planned, and initiatives to enhance sales and efficiency, including the use of its LIFT Engine, will need time to take full effect. The efforts are part of its "DL100‐2030‐" medium-term management plan announced on Dec. 10, 2025.

Lower sales reduced gross profit, but AI-driven efficiency measures cut outsourcing and other costs, bringing selling, general and administrative expenses to ¥979 million, ¥217 million (18.2%) below the previous forecast and partly offsetting the impact on profit.

Digitalift said it will continue to rebuild its new-business acquisition process, increase value for existing clients and upgrade sales and operating processes using LIFT Engine, with a focus on profitability, aiming to return to growth and strengthen its earnings base from the next fiscal year onward.
