Takeuchi Seisakusho on Oct. 13, 2026, revised the consolidated forecast for the fiscal year ending Feb. 28, 2027, that it issued on April 10, 2026.

The company now expects full-year consolidated unit sales 4.0% above its previous forecast, with North America up 3.1% and Europe up 6.0%, while Asia-Oceania is seen 21.8% lower. A weaker-than-assumed yen also lifted the sales outlook. U.S. tariff refunds add ¥6.8 billion to operating profit for the year, including ¥2.6 billion in the second quarter and ¥4.2 billion in the third. Offsetting factors include higher ocean freight from rising fuel surcharges and Panama Canal transit restrictions, and larger sales discounts in the U.S. The company assumes ¥150.00 per dollar for the second half, versus a full-year assumption of ¥147.00 previously.

The year-end dividend forecast was raised to ¥135 per share from ¥110. Combined with the ¥110 second-quarter-end dividend, the annual total would be ¥245, versus ¥210 a year earlier. Takeuchi Seisakusho moved to twice-yearly dividends from this fiscal year and aims to raise its consolidated payout ratio gradually to 40%.

The board also approved buying back up to 2.2 million shares, or 4.8% of shares outstanding excluding treasury stock, for up to ¥15.0 billion. Separately, it plans to dispose of up to 49,900 treasury shares as restricted stock to employees through its employee stock ownership association, at a provisional price of ¥7,280 per share.

The buyback runs from Oct. 14, 2026, to Feb. 19, 2027. The price for the restricted stock disposal is to be set on Oct. 20, 2026, with disposal scheduled for Feb. 19, 2027.
