dip Corporation (2379), an operator of job information websites, on Oct. 13 cut its forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027, now projecting an operating result ranging from a loss of ¥2.5 billion to a profit of ¥2.5 billion, versus a profit of ¥5.0 billion to ¥10.0 billion previously, and reported first-half operating profit down 99.0% at ¥56 million.

Revised operating forecast¥2.5 billion loss to ¥2.5 billion profit
Revised sales forecast¥49.0-53.0 billion
First-half operating profit¥56 million (down 99.0%)
Annual dividend forecast¥97 per share

dip said competition with rivals to acquire users has intensified, and it has strengthened advertising investment since May. Applications have increased and the number of contracted client companies has returned to growth, but lower contract unit prices amid market trends and slowing sales in its agency business have left the pace of revenue recovery behind initial assumptions. The company will continue aggressive advertising investment, aiming to expand market share this fiscal year and return sales and profit to a growth track next year.

Sales are now forecast at ¥49.0 billion to ¥53.0 billion, versus ¥53.5 billion to ¥57.6 billion in the April 14 forecast and ¥54.852 billion in the previous fiscal year. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent is projected between a loss of ¥2.7 billion and a profit of ¥700 million, compared with ¥2.9 billion to ¥6.4 billion previously.

For the first half from March 1 to August 31, sales fell 11.4% to ¥25.55 billion and operating profit dropped 99.0% to ¥56 million. Ordinary profit fell 99.9% to ¥3 million, and the company posted a net loss of ¥578 million, compared with a profit of ¥3.715 billion a year earlier. Besides stepping up advertising, dip invested in hiring 2026 new graduates and expanding offices.

Sales in the human resources services segment fell 12.5% to ¥22.268 billion, with segment profit down 60.7% to ¥3.33 billion. DX business sales declined 3.8% to ¥3.281 billion.

The interim dividend was ¥48 per share, and the annual dividend forecast of ¥97 was left unchanged.

dip plans to file its semi-annual securities report on Oct. 14, 2026, and to begin paying the interim dividend on Nov. 16, 2026.
