Niterra raises full-year net profit forecast 19% to ¥125 billion, lifts dividend

Niterra Co., Ltd. (5334) on Oct. 30 raised its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 by 19.0% to ¥125 billion from ¥105 billion and switched its dividend policy to target a dividend on equity (DOE) ratio of about 6%.

FY net profit forecast (revised)¥125.0 billion
H1 net profit attributable to owners¥110.04 billion
Interim dividend per share¥119
New DOE targetabout 6%

The company also lifted its revenue forecast to ¥810 billion from ¥790 billion, and its operating profit and pretax profit forecasts to ¥160 billion each from ¥150 billion. It said first-half results were solid, helped by a weaker yen, despite precious-metal price swings, the Middle East situation and Chinese export controls, and that the full year would beat the April forecast even after losses tied to the exit from Wells' automotive parts business announced in August. Second-half assumptions are ¥150 to the dollar and ¥180 to the euro.

ItemH1 (Apr-Sep 2026)YoY
Revenue¥406.2 billion+15.7%
Operating profit¥81.8 billion+15.6%
Pretax profit¥138.1 billion+84.5%
Net profit attributable to owners¥110.0 billion+108.1%

First-half results included a ¥59.0 billion fair-value gain on investment securities booked as financial income, while a ¥9.8 billion loss on the transfer of a subsidiary's business was booked in other expenses. Because the gain is expected to fluctuate in coming quarters, the revised forecast excludes it.

The new shareholder return policy, applied from the current fiscal year through the medium-term plan ending March 2030, replaces a DOE floor of about 4% plus a performance-linked portion targeting a payout ratio of about 10%. Niterra declared an interim dividend of ¥119 per share, up from a previous forecast of ¥105, totaling ¥23.2 billion. Following a 2-for-1 stock split effective Oct. 1, the year-end dividend forecast is ¥59.50, or ¥119 on a pre-split basis, bringing the pre-split annual total to ¥238, ¥28 above the prior forecast.

The interim dividend takes effect on Nov. 30, 2026, and the company plans to file its semiannual report on Nov. 6, 2026.
