Ivy Cosmetics Corporation (4918) on Oct. 8 raised its net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥290 million from ¥250 million, and lifted its operating profit outlook to ¥390 million from ¥330 million.

Full-year net profit forecast¥290 million (from ¥250 million)
Full-year operating profit forecast¥390 million (from ¥330 million)
First-half operating profit forecast¥210 million (from ¥150 million)
Full-year sales forecast¥2.9 billion (from ¥2.8 billion)

The cosmetics maker, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard market, also raised its forecasts for the April-September first half. It now expects sales of ¥1.48 billion, up 7.2% from its previous estimate of ¥1.38 billion; operating profit and recurring profit of ¥210 million each, up 40.0% from ¥150 million; and net profit of ¥160 million, up 33.3% from ¥120 million. The previous forecasts were announced on Aug. 5, 2026.

The company said three new products launched in June were well received, but sales through August tracked the previous year's level, partly due to extreme heat. Orders for its mainstay Red Power Serum came to 16,980 sets, roughly flat from 17,083 sets a year earlier. In September, a promotion month, orders for existing regular products grew as the heat eased, and the company now expects first-half sales to rise.

Higher crude oil prices tied to tensions in the Middle East, along with the weak yen, prompted suppliers to keep seeking price increases for materials and raw materials, keeping the cost-of-sales ratio elevated. Selling, general and administrative expenses are expected to be roughly in line with a year earlier as cost cuts continue.

For the full year, Ivy plans a major new skincare launch to mark its 50th anniversary. Citing an unstable international situation and ongoing natural disasters and unseasonable weather, however, it raised its full-year forecasts only by the amount of the first-half revision: ¥100 million for sales, ¥60 million for operating and recurring profit, and ¥40 million for net profit.
