For the April-September first half, revenue rose 2.6% from a year earlier to ¥14.542 billion, operating profit jumped 61.8% to ¥1.731 billion and net profit climbed 22.0% to ¥1.194 billion, 32.7% above the ¥900 million first-half forecast issued on July 27.

Domestic sales grew 6.2%, while overseas sales fell 4.1% as higher North American sales were outweighed by a sharp drop in China, where the market is shifting toward new energy vehicles. Profit was also lifted by two items not assumed in the previous forecast: a partial refund of tariffs incurred at its Mexican subsidiary last fiscal year, and a gain on the sale of fixed assets tied to the liquidation of domestic subsidiary Maruyoshi Seisakusho.

The auto parts segment posted revenue of ¥13.77 billion, up 1.1%, with segment profit up 54.2% to ¥1.64 billion. Other businesses, which make parts for automated control equipment used in semiconductor and other production lines, saw revenue rise 42.0% to ¥772 million.

The company set a first-half dividend of ¥30 per share and forecasts ¥60 for the full year, compared with ¥54 a year earlier.

Next steps: The company plans to file its semi-annual report on Nov. 9, 2026, and to begin paying the first-half dividend on Dec. 7, 2026.
