C.V.S. Bay Area Inc. (2687) on Oct. 8 lowered its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 to ¥165 million from ¥245 million, a 32.7% cut, citing higher-than-planned costs in its hotel business.

FY net profit (revised)¥165 million
FY net profit (previous forecast)¥245 million
FY operating profit (revised)¥309 million
H1 operating profit (revised)¥77 million

The Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market-listed company raised its full-year operating revenue forecast by 0.8% from the projection issued on April 13, but cut every profit line. Earnings per share were revised to ¥33.61 from ¥49.76.

Operating revenue¥8.094 billion¥8.159 billion+0.8%

Ordinary profit¥364 million¥238 million-34.6%
Net profit attributable to owners of parent¥245 million¥165 million-32.7%

For the first half (March 1-Aug. 31, 2026), consolidated operating profit was revised to ¥77 million from ¥183 million, down 57.9%, and net profit to ¥62 million from ¥142 million, down 56.3%.

The company said its convenience store and other businesses performed steadily on a non-consolidated basis. Hotel sales and guest numbers grew on domestic leisure demand and rising inbound demand, but persistently high raw material prices, rising energy costs, added staffing, replacement of room and facility fixtures, and advertising pushed personnel, consumables and advertising expenses above plan.

The company assumes results from the third quarter onward will track its initial forecast; the full-year cuts to ordinary and net profit, ¥126 million and ¥80 million, match the first-half reductions. Forecasts for its condominium front-desk service and cleaning businesses were left unchanged.

In the previous fiscal year, the company posted consolidated operating profit of ¥130 million, an ordinary loss of ¥63 million and a net loss of ¥1.139 billion.
