In its mainstay auto leasing business, used-car prices remained strong, increasing gains on the sale of vehicles returned at the end of their leases, the company said. Stockpiling and front-loaded demand amid instability in the Middle East also lifted sales and profit in its chemical and agri-solution businesses.

As a result, revenue, operating profit, ordinary profit and net profit attributable to owners of the parent are all expected to exceed the figures announced on Aug. 5, the company said.

The company noted that its forecasts are based on information currently available and certain assumptions it deems reasonable, and that actual results may differ due to various factors.
