IC (4769) said non-consolidated net profit for the fiscal year ended September 2026 came in at ¥580 million, 48.8% above its forecast, and raised its year-end dividend to ¥45 a share from a projected ¥40.
Sales for the year from Oct. 1, 2025 to Sept. 30, 2026 were ¥9,778 million, 0.7% above the forecast the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard-listed company published on Nov. 7, 2025, while ordinary profit beat its target by 16.1% at ¥715 million. Earnings per share were ¥78.20.
| Item | Forecast | Actual | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales | ¥9,708 million | ¥9,778 million | 0.7% |
| Ordinary profit | ¥616 million | ¥715 million | 16.1% |
| Net profit | ¥389 million | ¥580 million | 48.8% |
The company said sales were broadly in line with the forecast, and ordinary profit exceeded it mainly because selling, general and administrative expenses came in below plan. Net profit was further lifted by a gain on the partial sale of investment securities, booked as extraordinary income. Net profit in the previous fiscal year was ¥535 million.
The ¥45 dividend, for a record date of Sept. 30, 2026, adds an ordinary ¥3 and a special ¥2 to the earlier forecast of ¥40, for a total payout of ¥329 million. The company paid ¥40 a share for the previous year.
Separately, President and Representative Director Ryoji Saito will step down, and Representative Director and Executive Vice President Shohei Misawa will become president, as the company moves from two representative directors to one. Executive Officer Miura, head of the corporate planning office, has been nominated as a new director.
Next steps: The dividend and board changes will be put to the 49th annual shareholders' meeting on Dec. 18, 2026, the scheduled date of the management change. The dividend takes effect on Dec. 21, 2026.
