The company said the revenue and business profit upgrades reflect first-half results, revised currency assumptions and recent market trends. It assumes exchange rates of ¥155 per dollar and ¥180 per euro from the third quarter.

JTEKT set an interim dividend of ¥35 per share, up from ¥30 a year earlier, and forecasts an annual dividend of ¥70.

The board also approved the absorption of wholly owned subsidiary JTEKT Engineering to consolidate personnel and expertise for after-sales service of cutting machines and machining centers. No new shares will be issued, and the company said the impact on consolidated results would be minor.

The interim dividend is scheduled to be paid from Nov. 26, 2026, and the semiannual securities report is due Nov. 12. The merger is scheduled to take effect April 1, 2027.
