Under IFRS, operating profit fell 16.6% to ¥4.12 billion and pretax profit declined 26.8% to ¥3.76 billion for the March-August period. Adjusted EBITDA, a measure the company discloses, decreased 7.0% to ¥13.06 billion. Basic earnings per share came to ¥6.26, compared with ¥7.59 a year earlier.

For the fiscal year ending Feb. 28, 2027, the company kept its forecasts for revenue of ¥171.0 billion, operating profit of ¥9.0 billion and net profit attributable to owners of ¥5.70 billion, up 3.4%, 13.3% and 21.9%, respectively. The board also resolved on Oct. 14 to sell all 20 million shares of 香港創造餐飲管理有限公司, a wholly owned specified subsidiary that runs restaurants in Hong Kong, to eDigital Media Limited, previously its franchisee partner, for HK$1. The company cited changes in Hong Kong's business environment and consumer behavior, including the so-called northbound consumption trend, and the closure of key directly operated stores. The unit posted revenue of ¥256 million and negative net assets of ¥267 million for the year ended February 2026, based on the company's conversion at HK$1 = ¥20.4. The company said the impact on consolidated results would be minor.

Separately, after absorbing consolidated subsidiary SFP Holdings Co., Ltd. on July 1, 2026, the company will book a ¥982 million extraordinary gain on extinguishment of tie-in shares in its non-consolidated results for the second quarter. The gain is eliminated on consolidation and has no impact on consolidated earnings.

The share transfer is scheduled for Oct. 29, 2026, and interim dividend payments are set to begin Nov. 16, 2026.
