Nihon PC Service (6025) posted a consolidated net loss attributable to owners of the parent of ¥6 million for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, 2026, after booking a ¥32 million impairment loss, even as sales rose 18.4% to ¥8.09 billion.

FY Aug. 2027 net profit forecast¥41 million

The Nagoya Stock Exchange Next-listed company, which provides on-site, phone and in-store support and repair for PCs and other digital devices, swung from a net profit of ¥22 million a year earlier. Operating profit fell 26.5% to ¥72 million and ordinary profit dropped 51.2% to ¥60 million.

Results missed the forecast issued on April 14, 2026, which had called for operating profit of ¥90 million, ordinary profit of ¥79 million and net profit of ¥10 million, although sales beat the ¥8.0 billion target by 1.1%. The company said corporate DX support pushed sales above plan, but a staffing shortage in in-store support and a reduction in large corporate repair work weighed on earnings.

The impairment covered fixed assets at some underperforming sites and stores, as well as goodwill related to subsidiary Nextline Co., Ltd. Goodwill impairment accounted for ¥21 million, leaving a balance of ¥49 million. On a non-consolidated basis, the company booked a net loss of ¥268 million, mainly due to a valuation loss on subsidiary shares, which it said is eliminated in consolidation.

For the year ending Aug. 31, 2027, the company forecasts sales of ¥8.5 billion, operating profit of ¥100 million, ordinary profit of ¥77 million and net profit of ¥41 million. It paid no dividend for fiscal 2026 and plans none for fiscal 2027.

Separately, the board approved the absorption of wholly owned call-center subsidiary Minasol Co., Ltd., with no new shares issued or cash paid. The company said the impact on consolidated results will be minor.

Next steps: The company plans to file its annual securities report on Nov. 24, 2026, and hold its annual shareholders' meeting on Nov. 26. The Minasol merger is scheduled to take effect on Dec. 1.
