The company said sales were broadly on plan. In its metal products business, domestic sales of work tools and lifting clamps were firm, while sales in South Korea, one of its main markets, held up on new product launches despite weak construction demand. However, raw material, energy and outsourcing costs rose more than assumed, lifting manufacturing costs and pushing gross profit below plan. It also booked demolition costs for existing facilities as an extraordinary loss as it builds a new factory.

Super Tool kept its full-year forecast unchanged at net sales of ¥5,500 million, operating profit of ¥390 million, ordinary profit of ¥400 million and net profit attributable to owners of ¥170 million. It said it revised domestic product prices from October 2026. The interim dividend is ¥30.00 per share, down from ¥35.00, with an unchanged annual forecast of ¥60.00.

The buyback, aimed at enhancing shareholder returns and capital efficiency, covers up to 1.27% of shares outstanding excluding treasury stock and will be made through market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The buyback runs from Oct. 21, 2026 to Apr. 20, 2027. The company plans to file its semiannual report on Oct. 28, 2026 and begin paying the interim dividend on Nov. 16, 2026.
