Earlier on Oct. 29, the company revised its first-half forecast, lowering sales to ¥36.5 billion from ¥37.0 billion and operating profit to ¥1.73 billion from ¥1.74 billion, while raising ordinary profit to ¥2.05 billion from ¥2.0 billion and net profit to ¥3.0 billion from ¥2.15 billion. It said higher raw material prices and unseasonable weather weighed on results, partly offset by front-loaded demand in some businesses amid uncertainty over raw material procurement and expanding sales of temporary traffic safety products in Europe. The gain on the sale of investment securities, disclosed on Sept. 9, had been partly built into the full-year forecast but was booked earlier than expected, concentrating in the second quarter.

The public sector segment's sales rose 3.1% to ¥18.08 billion, while its operating profit fell 60.8% to ¥121 million. On Oct. 6, after the period ended, Hi-Q Co., Ltd., which runs a traffic safety products business in South Korea and Vietnam, joined the group.

The interim dividend was ¥56 per share, up ¥20 from a year earlier. The company forecasts a year-end dividend of ¥44, for an annual total of ¥100 versus ¥72 the previous year. It kept its full-year forecast for sales of ¥84.0 billion, operating profit of ¥6.3 billion, ordinary profit of ¥6.5 billion and net profit of ¥5.4 billion, or ¥182.15 per share.

The company plans to file its semiannual report on Nov. 13, 2026, and to start paying the interim dividend on Dec. 1, 2026.
