Nisso Group (3440) said operating profit for the year ended August 2026 fell 55.1% to ¥620 million, though it came in 106.9% above the forecast it issued on July 15.

Operating profit¥620 million
Net profit¥517 million
FY Aug. 2027 sales forecast¥27.0 billion
FY Aug. 2026 annual dividend¥42

Net sales fell 6.6% to ¥21.51 billion, ordinary profit dropped 56.8% to ¥605 million and net profit attributable to owners of the parent declined 43.6% to ¥517 million, 4.5% below the July forecast of ¥542 million. Earnings per share were ¥80.58, compared with ¥141.88 a year earlier.

The company said operating and ordinary profit beat its forecast mainly because customers requested earlier delivery of some metal sandwich panels in its metal processing business and of some soundproof and noise-suppression enclosures for emergency generators at large data centers. Last-minute demand and price increases in its chemical products business also contributed.
