Kyocera lifts annual sales forecast to ¥2.12 trillion; H1 operating profit up 56.4%

Mon, Nov 02, 2026 15:00 JST Kyocera Corporation (6971.T) Electronic Components 中文

Kyocera Corporation (6971) on Nov. 2 raised its full-year revenue forecast to ¥2.12 trillion from ¥2.08 trillion and kept its profit forecasts unchanged, after operating profit for the April-September first half rose 56.4% to ¥65.6 billion.

H1 operating profit¥65.6 billion (+56.4%)
FY revenue forecast¥2.12 trillion (from ¥2.08 trillion)
FY net profit forecast¥160.0 billion (unchanged)
H1 one-time lossesabout ¥37.1 billion

First-half revenue rose 8.8% to ¥1.078 trillion, pretax profit increased 36.9% to ¥93.0 billion, and net profit attributable to owners of the parent grew 32.2% to ¥73.4 billion, or ¥56.73 per share.

Demand for high-value semiconductor packages and capacitors, mainly for AI data centers, drove sales in the Core Components and Electronic Components segments. Solutions segment revenue declined, but rose when excluding the effect of the January 2026 sale of a U.S. machine tool subsidiary.

Profit growth outweighed one-time losses of about ¥37.1 billion booked in the half: an impairment of about ¥29.5 billion on goodwill and intangible assets in the gallium nitride (GaN) device business, and a provision of about ¥7.6 billion related to energy products. The weaker yen lifted revenue by about ¥63 billion and pretax profit by about ¥12 billion, with average rates of ¥159 per dollar and ¥184 per euro.

Item (FY to March 2027)July 30 forecastRevised
Revenue¥2.08 trillion¥2.12 trillion
Operating profit¥160.0 billion¥160.0 billion
Pretax profit¥200.0 billion¥200.0 billion
Net profit (owners of parent)¥160.0 billion¥160.0 billion

Kyocera said demand for components for AI and semiconductor-related markets, which grew more than expected in the first half, is expected to remain firm from the third quarter. Large profit increases across its businesses, along with a gain on the transfer of its chemical business, are expected to offset the first-half one-time losses, so profit forecasts were left unchanged.

The interim dividend is ¥28.00 per share, and the full-year dividend forecast of ¥56.00 was unchanged, compared with ¥52.00 for the previous year.

Kyocera plans to file its semiannual report on Nov. 13, 2026, and dividend payments are scheduled to begin Dec. 7, 2026.
