OBSystem (5576) said net profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 36.2% to ¥291 million in the first half to Sept. 30, 2026, on sales up 20.2% at ¥4,686 million, and kept its full-year forecast unchanged.

Operating profit climbed 45.8% to ¥311 million and ordinary profit rose 43.6% to ¥332 million for the April-September period. The systems integrator said profit grew despite higher personnel costs from active hiring, increased R&D spending on the use of AI agents and greater goodwill amortization from acquisitions, helped by an improved gross margin. It also booked a ¥98.3 million gain on sales of investment securities, partly from reducing cross-shareholdings. Earnings per share were ¥125.31, versus ¥92.74 a year earlier.
