Nachi-Fujikoshi Corp. (6474) said on Oct. 5 its board approved a 5-for-1 stock split with a record date of Nov. 30, 2026, and reported nine-month net profit attributable to owners of the parent of ¥6.63 billion, up 82.1% from a year earlier.

Split ratio5 shares for every 1 share
Effective dateDec. 1, 2026
Nine-month net profit¥6.63 billion (+82.1%)
Full-year net profit forecast (unchanged)¥7.5 billion

The company said the split aims to lower the amount per investment unit, making its shares easier to invest in and broadening its investor base. Total issued shares will rise to 124,596,715 from 24,919,343, and authorized shares under its articles of incorporation will be raised to 300 million from 60 million. Capital will not change. The year-end dividend for the fiscal year ending November 2026, with a Nov. 30 record date, will be paid on a pre-split basis; the company forecasts ¥110 per share, unchanged from its previous forecast.

Results for the nine months from Dec. 1, 2025 to Aug. 31, 2026:

ItemAmountYoY change
Net sales¥192.33 billion+10.4%
Operating profit¥11.46 billion+72.8%
Ordinary profit¥10.87 billion+111.5%
Net profit attributable to owners of parent¥6.63 billion+82.1%

The company cited recovering demand for construction machinery in Europe, the U.S. and China, a demand recovery in the ASEAN commercial market, and higher demand for industrial machinery in the Americas. Overseas sales rose 14.9% to ¥101.56 billion. On the profit side, it pointed to fixed-cost cuts from structural reforms and passing higher raw material costs on to selling prices. It booked ¥896 million in structural reform costs as an extraordinary loss.

The company kept its full-year forecast, announced July 14, 2026, unchanged: net sales of ¥255.0 billion, operating profit of ¥15.3 billion and net profit attributable to owners of the parent of ¥7.5 billion, up 42.8%.

The company plans to give public notice of the record date on Nov. 13, 2026. The split and the amendment to the articles of incorporation take effect Dec. 1, 2026.
