Daiichi Cutter Kogyo (1716) repurchased 700,000 of its own shares for ¥910 million on Oct. 21 through the Tokyo Stock Exchange's off-auction ToSTNeT-3 system, completing the buyback authorized by its board on Aug. 14.

Authorized limit700,000 shares / ¥1 billion

The company announced the planned purchase on Oct. 20, a day before the transaction. The shares acquired were common stock, bought through off-auction trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The repurchase was carried out under a board resolution adopted on Aug. 14, 2026, which authorized the acquisition of up to 700,000 common shares, equivalent to 6.09% of shares outstanding excluding treasury stock, for a total of up to ¥1 billion. As of Sept. 30, the company had acquired no shares under that authorization.

The Oct. 21 purchase used the full share allowance, and the company said all acquisitions under the Aug. 14 resolution have been completed. The total cost of ¥910 million came in below the ¥1 billion cap.

Daiichi Cutter Kogyo said the buyback was part of its capital policy, intended to enhance shareholder returns, improve capital efficiency and further stabilize its shareholder composition.
